The work of rehabilitating road infrastructure along with installation of street lights and sanitation is in full swing, claimed Pakistan Peoples Party-led Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab on Monday.

“Road development work is actively underway from Saudabad Chowrangi to Thado Nala by Sindh government under the Karachi neighbourhood improvement project. This project was part of the Karachi package committed by Sindh government and this public space is scheduled to be opened for public [on] October 31, 2020,” he tweeted along with pictures depicting road construction and a map for the Malir sub-project.

Separately, in a statement issued by his office on the day, Wahab said the work of rehabilitating roads is being expedited in areas where garbage had been piling for months while sanitation work is being carried out by area residents.
