Mysterious killing: Young man shot dead

HARIPUR: A young man was shot dead under explained circumstances. His body was found dumped in a hilly area of Dartiyan village, some 32km from Khanpur here on Sunday. Police and family sources said that Muhammad Usman, 22, went missing from his home with his 12-bore shot gun on Saturday evening and his family searched for him in the village but failed to find any clue. However, on Sunday morning, one of the villagers spotted Usman’s bullet-riddled body in the bushes of a nearby hillock and informed the police, which took it to the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital for autopsy. Doctors said, the victim was shot in his head and abdomen. The police believe that he was shot at with his 12-bore shot gun.
