What has been your most rewarding project and why?
I try to invest as much as I can in every project I take up; when they finally come to completion, all of them are rewarding to me, each in its own way.
What has been the most challenging thing for you during Coronavirus crises personally and professionally?
Professionally yes, there certainly have been struggles due to mobility restrictions because of the virus. The lockdown has been a hurdle for some and a great concern for many in terms of health and livelihood. However I feel blessed having loving friends and family, with whom I can appreciate all the positivity this life has to offer in this time off from the regular rut of busy schedules and projects.
What has been more gratifying - being an actor or a producer?
I envision them as a part of a single journey. I am grateful for all the opportunities I had as an actor, coming across great people and learning from them. Being a producer gives me assurity that I’ve grown professionally and I owe that to all the great learning experiences I’ve had.
Tell us about your upcoming projects?
I’m very excited about my latest drama, I’ll say this much that the shooting is ongoing and the script is wonderful. If you want more you’ll have to wait till it comes out. I have also been reading a script for a film, hoping for exciting things to come my way.
Do you consider performing arts a language?
Absolutely yes! Performing arts have always been important to all of us regardless of our culture or country as it has its own way of moving you. In my experience we all have the capacity to feel love, sadness or happiness through rhythm, expression and body movements.
What are the three signs of beauty in a woman in your opinion?
Beauty can be subjective, but for me a beautiful woman is always nurturing, empathetic and emotionally intelligent.
Are you ever jealous of another actor’s success?
Never! Jealousy and envy will always leave you feeling hollow inside. I always look for a source of inspiration in another person’s success. We should all be supportive of each other’s work and efforts.
Have you failed at anything?
Failure is a part of our lives and it can come in many forms. It simply is an opportunity to look at things from a different perspective. One shouldn’t give up because of a few setbacks, rather persevere until the goal is reached.
What gratifies you the most?
I’m blessed with a loving family. I don’t believe anything else can make me feel as happy and secure as they do.
Three hidden talents?
I wouldn’t say I have distinct hidden talents but I very much like to explore the fine arts. Drawing and painting helps channel my inner zen.
