Dining: Ramazan Daster Khawan arranged for low income groups

Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Zahid Saeed has said that as many as 50 “Ramazan Daster Khawans (soup kitchens) have been setup in Rawalpindi Division, with 25 in Rawalpindi District, 12 in Jhelum, eight in Attock District and five in Chakwal District to facilitate poor and needy people. They can accommodate between 100 and 300 persons daily.


A magistrate has been appointed to check each Ramazan Bazaar. Giving directions to special magistrates, he said that maximum facilities should be provided to facilitate people and there should be proper seating arrangements for people coming for iftar-dinner at Ramadan Daster Khawans.
