RAWALPINDI:

Two women were raped in separate sexual assaults reported from two different areas on Thursday. Although police have registered cases against the suspects, they have not arrested anyone yet.

A complaint lodged with Pirwhdhai police said that the victim worked at a beauty parlour in Islamabad that was shut down due to the novel coronavirus lockdown. Her brother-in-law, Adnan Maqsood, arrived at the victim's house with a man. He told her that there was a function at his home and some women were waiting to get a makeover. Being acquainted, the victim agreed to go with Maqsood. However, the victim turned the vehicle to desolated street.

He got off from the driver's seat, came back and sat beside the victim, pulled out a gun from under the seat and raped her. After this, the suspect called his partner who did the same.

The suspects threw the victim out of the vehicle near Degree College and rode away.

In another incident, a complainant told Rawat police that Waqar Azeem called her and offered to get her a job.

He lured the victim to a private housing society. The suspect arrived in a car with two unidentified people in it and picked her up. They then took her to a shop inside the society where Azeem called another man who told the victim to go to the third floor of the adjoining plaza to particulars of the job.

The suspect found the room empty. Azeem locked the room behind her, pulled out his gun and raped her.
