PESHAWAR:

The Peshawar police on Wednesday claimed to have foiled a major terror plot by recovering a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a vehicle during snap checking.

Police officials deployed along the Motorway Toll plaza stopped a vehicle for random checking. During a search, they recovered 278 pistols, 40 guns and 5,000 rounds of ammunition. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Abrar, was taken into custody.

A case was registered the suspect under terrorism and other relevant charges at the Chimkini police station.
