PESHAWAR:

The Drugs Control and Pharmacy Services on Tuesday conducted operations in the walled city areas and suburbs of the provincial capital, seizing drugs samples worth millions of rupees.

Peshawar Chief Drugs Inspector Zahid Ali Khan headed the operations in the old Sabzi Mandi area and recovered medicines of local and multi-national pharmaceutical companies which were being sold at half prices of the drugs.

The drug inspector said that the illegal activity has caused huge losses to pharmaceutical companies and in turn the health department. He added that the operation was carried out after complainants were registered on the Pakistan Citizens Portal.
