The city police on Saturday busted a factory established at a farm land in the outskirts of the city and confiscated over 300 cartons of beverages of renowned brands, prepared locally at the factory.
Nilore police, on a tip-off, raided a poultry shed in a farm in Tumair village and discovered that a small factory was established at the farmland near the shed. Police also arrested two suspects -Rehman from the area; however, the owner of the factory Mirza Maqsood was still at large till the last reports came in; police said they were raiding different places for his arrest.
The two suspects confessed that the beverages were being produced without proper licenses and permission from the government. Nilore police registered a case and the factory was sealed for further legal action.
