A man, who allegedly raped and impregnated a teenaged orphan, was arrested by the Kallar Sayedan police on Tuesday. The 19-year-old victim had lodged a complaint with the police who registered a case against Muhammad Safeer. A police spokesperson said that the victim claimed that the suspect had raped her multiple times and had impregnated her.
The suspect’s family forced the teenager to have an abortion and threatened her of dire consequences if she told anyone about it. The police registered an First Information Report (FIR) on the complaint and the police team led by Kallar Sayedan SHO picked up the suspect using modern techniques. SHO said that they were making arrangements for medical and DNA tests of the parties in the case.
