ACE arrests six public servants

Three other officials from Faisalabad and Multan region were also booked against bribe cases

Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) arrested as many as six public servants including an assistant director land record from Kamoki red-handed while taking bribe. ADLR Usman had allegedly received Rs40,000 as a bribe. He was booked by ACE Regional Director Naeemullah Bhatti and the judicial magistrate. The bribe money was recovered from the accused officer and an FIR was registered against him in the local police station. Meanwhile, a supervisor clerk named Mohammed Ahsan of the Gujrat Municipal Corporation was arrested taking Rs13,000 as a bribe. In Narowal, Khuram Shahzad, a clerk of the health department was also booked for receiving bribe money of Rs6,000 in lieu of the medical certificate. Three other officials from Faisalabad and Multan region were also booked against bribe cases. Commenting on the developments, DG Gohar Nafees said that indiscriminate action against corrupt elements will go unobstructed.
