Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) in collaboration with City Traffic Police (CTP) completed preparations for action against e-challan defaulters on Monday. The authority has provided an e-challan android application and printers to the traffic police, through which the record of e-challan defaulters will be checked on the spot.
The traffic wardens will issue receipts through the printers immediately to the defaulters after seizing their vehicle registration documents, national identity cards or driving licences. Two paper slips will be printed.
One of them will be given to the defaulter and one attached with the seized documents to help identify them. The documents will be returned to the defaulters on the submission of the e-challan amount.
