Man, son shot and injured

A man and his son were shot and injured during a robbery bid at a general store near Dua Chowk, New Karachi, on Monday. The injured, identified as shopkeeper Haroon, 50, and his son Hassan, 15, were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. According to New Karachi industrial Area SHO Younus Khattak, four armed men arrived at the general store and stole Rs17,000. He added that the robbers opened fire at the shopkeepers for offering resistance and fled. As a result, Hassan was shot in his foot and the same bullet rebounded off the floor and injured Haroon as well. SHO Khattak added that both the injured were in stable condition, while investigation was underway.
