Police shifted the body to the DHQ Teaching hospital for autopsy

A suspected robber was killed in an alleged encounter in the Kerana police limits in Sargodha district on Sunday. Police officials said that three dacoits were looting citizens at Chak No 29SB Jhal.

On receiving information, a police patrol team led by SHO Sahab Khan reached the spot to apprehend the robbers. Upon seeing the police party, the robbers opened fire at them. Policemen returned the fire that claimed the life of one robber, identified as Ghulam Abbas. His two accomplices managed to escape from the scene. Police shifted the body to the DHQ Teaching hospital for autopsy. Further investigations are underway.

On August 10, an alleged robber was killed in a bid in Phularwan in Sargodha. Two suspects entered a house and took the family hostage. Meanwhile, the neighbours of the victim and the accused exchanged fire during which one of the suspects was killed by his own accomplice, who later on fled from the crime scene. The body was shifted to a hospital.
