Minor martyred, four civilians injured in Indian ceasefire violation along LoC
An 11-year-old girl was martyred, whereas four other people were injured in yet another incident of unprovoked ceasefire violation by Indian border forces on Sunday, according to the Idirector general of the nter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The injured civilians included a 75-year-old woman, and two young boys. The ceasefire violation that took place in the Hotspring and Rakhchikri sectors, DG ISPR Major General Babar Iftikhar stated on Twitter.
He added that the Pakistan Army responded effectively to the Indian firing.
On September 9, Indian border security forces had resorted to targeting the Pakistani side of Line of Control (LoC), resulting in the martyrdom of a Pakistan Army soldier.
The military's media wing said that 39-year-old Havaldar Liaqat, a resident of Chakwal district, embraced martyrdom during the exchange of intense fire.
"Indian Army troops initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation (CFV) in Bedori Sector along the LoC, targeting the Pakistan Army posts and civil population," the ISPR statement said.
