The Sindh Healthcare Commission has initiated a collaborative action plan across the province for registration of healthcare establishments (HCE). Multiple training sessions for general practitioners, HCEs and hakeems were held as well as inspections of unregistered HCEs and field visits by anti-quackery teams were conducted. The commission’s field teams have fined 13 unregistered HCEs in recent days and the process is to continue as routine activity. Till date, the commission’s directorate of complaint has received a total of 140 complaints out of which 100 have been disposed of, 30 are under process and eight are sub-judice.
