ISLAMABAD:

The newly-appointed president of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI), Dr Hathal bin Hamoud Al-Otaibi, arrived at the new campus of the varsity to kick off a new era in the institution’s history.

Dr Al-Otaibi had been appointed as the president of the varsity by its Board of Trustees (BoT) in its 14th meeting in early July for a four-year term. He replaced fellow Saudi national Dr Yousif Al Draiweesh.

After his arrival, Dr Al-Otaibi held meetings with the IIUI Rector Dr Masoom Yasinzai, vice presidents and members of the finance and planning committees.

While welcoming the IIUI president at his office, Rector Yasinzai apprised him about the university’s vision, achievements, distinctions and vision.
