Naughty and entertaining: Atiqa Odho laughs off Nauman Ijaz's infidelity 'joke'

The 'Humsafar' actor had a good laugh over Ijaz's 'great attempt to get people's attention'

Veteran actor Naumaan Ijaz found himself at the awkward end of jokes and jibes after a year-old interview with fellow artist Iffat Omar went viral on social media. The Sang-e-Mar Mar star made few insensitive comments about infidelity and Me Too that didn't sit well with many.

Many took to social media and called out the actor for his remarks, and rightfully so. While ZQ called the actor out, his co-star Atiqa Odho had a good laugh over his 'infidelity joke.'

Taking to Facebook, the Humsafar actor penned, "My dear friend Naumaan Ijaz, you really know how to get people's attention! Trust you to joke about infidelity and people start to take it all so seriously."

My dear friend @naumaanijazofficial. You really know how to get people's attention! Trust you to joke about infidelity...

Lauding Ijaz's attempt to garner attention, Odho went on, "Great way to get their attention. Hats off to my buddy Rabia for also laughing it off knowing her husband loves to poke people's imagination."

"You are so naughty and entertaining. Never a dull moment on and off-screen," she shared, adding that people should be ashamed of their judgments and 'petty mindsets'. "Anyway, just keep smiling and exposing other petty mindedness. Shame that they can so quickly judge you on a light-hearted moment on camera and disregard your years of service in the entertainment industry. Look ahead my friend and continue on your path of success as always. Stay blessed."

BACKSTORY:

Ijaz, who is not one to land himself in hot waters often, can be seen talking to host Iffat Omar about ‘the secret of a successful marriage’, having been married for about 25 years now. Omar mentioned how artists are hopeless romantics to which he agreed, and when asked if he ever lost his heart elsewhere, he replied, “Beinteha (countless times).”

He then shared how he often finds himself falling in love. “Every moment of every day! I am a very loving man,” said the actor.

“If a woman is beautiful from the inside and outside and is also hard to get/difficult, I fall even more in love!” he continued and when he was asked whether he pursues this love, he did not hesitate before saying, “Yes.”

Does his wife of 25 years not mind? Here’s where the interesting part came in, when Ijaz mentioned how it has never been a problem because his wife never finds out. “I am such a great actor and an intelligent man that my wife, Thank God, never finds out,” he had said.
