Minister said specific subjects would be taught to religious minorities in prison

Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Ijaz Alam Augustine has said the Minority Empowerment Package (MEP) proved a flagship programme for religious minorities under the leadership of Imran Khan.

The minister expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of religious minorities belonging to Sargodha at the office of New Minister Block on Tuesday. The delegation lauded the efforts of the minister for the approval of 2% seats for religious minorities in higher education sector.

The minister said specific subjects would be taught to religious minorities in prison as Muslims were being taught while 2% quota has been allotted for religious minorities in all educational institutions affiliated to higher education across Punjab.
