ISLAMABAD:

A police constable was dismissed from his service on Saturday for harassing a couple at a police picket at Daman-e-Koh.

Islamabad police officials said that a citizen named Muhammad Usman lodged a complaint on the police’s social media platform against the misconduct of a police official. The complainant said that he was going with his family to Daman-e-Koh when a police constable, Shahid Lateef, stopped them and committed contemptuous behavior. He added that the policeman also passed inappropriate comments on the family.

Taking notice of the complaint, Inspector General Police (IGP) Amir Zulfiqar ordered City SP Muhammad Umar Khan to probe into the incident.
