Bushra Ansari has been a household name in Pakistan for decades now. The renowned actor has starred in numerous drama serials and films and other showbiz projects in her illustrious career but now, she is gearing up for a change.

Ansari, whose career spans over 20 years, recently shared her thoughts on local dramas and also spoke about her private life. According to Express PK, the Dolly Ki Ayegi Baraat star expressed concerns that too much of recent content is being centered on marriage, extra-marital affairs and divorces.

Currently, Ansari is essaying the lead role in the drama serial Zebaish, that has been airing on a private channel. The drama, authored by Ansari, has gathered mixed responses from the audience and being criticised for its cast, comprising mainly her family members. However, Ansari maintained that the Zara Noor Abbas-starrer has been garnering positive reviews too. "Sometimes, having five talented members in a family becomes a setback. Many new writers, as well as talents, are never given a chance,” she said.

Ironically, the plot of Zebaish is also centered on divorce and an extramarital affair. The actor, however, believes that its dialogues and the entire drama reflect the legacy of the PTV dramas.

Talking about wages, the Udaari actor said that commercial TV offers handsome packages while back in the days, she would be paid Rs800 after working for eight whole days. Talking about the current drama industry situation, she admitted that the dramas these days are centered around affairs, marriages, and divorces.
