‘Move Peshawar bus stand in 60 days’

K-P CM Mahmood directs expediting work on PC-I

The provincial chief executive has directed to acquire land for moving the general bus stand in Peshawar out of the city within two months.

This was directed by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Mahmood as he chaired a meeting on the mega uplift projects of the provincial capital at the Chief Minister Secretariat. CM Mahmood also directed to expedite work on the Project Concept-I (PC-I), feasibility studies and engineering design of the project.

The meeting was told that land had been identified along the Ring Road in Peshawar for the construction of a general bus stand and that the process to acquire land for the project in progress. The meeting was further informed that under the K-P Cities Improvement Project, various uplift activities will be carried out in different areas of Peshawar, including the replacement of a water supply network, solid waste management system at Shamshato, construction of a sewerage treatment plant at Kanza, construction of a park, family areas, walking tracks and food streets in Phase-VII of Hayatabad. Moreover, Bagh-e-Naran Park will be extended and further developed.
