RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) and the Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB) on Wednesday offered an amnesty scheme to regularise domestic structures constructed without approved building plans before 2015.

The owners will be required to pay a fee of Rs2,500 to have their building map made by an approved architect, which has to be submitted to the cantonment boards to be approved within three days. The entire process would be regularised sans fines or penalties and the owners of such structures would only be required to pay regular charges for legalising them.

The boards have established field offices where the owners could come and carry out the process for regularisation. Both the boards have also started mobile van service for the locals where they can submit their documents.
