Relief work underway in Tharparkar

Around 104 tents, 230 ration bags and 53 kitchen kits distributed

Tharparkar deputy commissioner Muhammad Nawaz Soho said on Saturday that the distribution of relief items in the rain-affected areas was underway.

According to a statement, around 104 tents, 230 ration bags and 53 kitchen kits had been distributed so far in two union councils of Kaloi taluka, while tents, kitchen kits, mosquito mats, water coolers, blankets and ration bags had been provided to the people of Diplo taluka. He further said that social welfare organisations were also providing food and other edible items to those affected by the downpours.
