An olive tree was planted at the Palestinian Embassy in Islamabad on Wednesday by the Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Jawad Rubai and Islamabad Capital Territory Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat. Earlier, in a meeting at the embassy headquarters, the two discussed joint cooperation methods and plans for the Palestinian mission to contribute to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan’s initiative of planting 10 billion trees and the Green Pakistan programme. The import of olive trees from Palestine was also discussed. The olive tree planted in front of the embassy in the diplomatic enclave was part of a first batch of olive trees sent by the Palestinian government.
