A man masquerading as a policeman and looting people has been arrested in the federal capital among 23 suspects in separate actions, a police spokesperson said on Wednesday.

Snatched cash, stolen cars, two motorbikes, mobile phone, narcotics, liquor and weapons were recovered from their possession.

The official said that the Khanna police had arrested Saqlain, who was allegedly involved in looting people while masquerading as a policeman. They recovered a stolen mobile phone from him.

Margalla police arrested a suspected car lifter, identified as Yusrat Khan, and recovered a stolen car from him. Moreover, they arrested Asad Ullah in a separate action and recovered 150 grammes of heroin from him.

The Aabpara police arrested Sameer Sadiq and recovered 10 litres of alcohol from him.

The Secretariat police arrested Zaheer Sadiq and recovered iron punch from him.

The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the police arrested a suspected bike thief identified as Zeeshan Ali and recovered a stolen bike from him.

They arrested another three suspects, identified as Mohsin Shahzad, Anwer Khan and Hamza Sadeeq and recovered two pistols and five litres of wine from their possession.

The Bhara Kahu police arrested Muhammad Adeel and recovered a 30 bore pistol from him. The Karachi Company police arrested accused Shamoon Masih and recovered 10 litres of alcohol from his possession.

Similarly, the Golra police apprehended a suspected drug peddler, identified as Zeshan Qadir, and recovered 1.05 kilogrammes of hashish from him. Moreover, the police squad also arrested two suspects identified as Qamer Zaman and Amjad.

The Industrial Area police arrested two men, identified as Najeeb Ullah and Usman, and allegedly recovered four bottles of wine from their possession.
