200 outlaws nabbed in crackdown

LAHORE:

Saddar Division police claimed to have arrested as many as 200 suspects over the last week. Police also seized 21 pistols, one rifle, bullets, more than eight kgs of hashish, 220 grammes of heroine, 540 grammes of opium and 283 litres of liquor. Police, in its action against street crimes, busted gangs and arrested its 15 members along with recoveries worth more than Rs870,000 from them. Moreover, 27 proclaimed offenders of Categories A and B were held in cases of theft, cheque dishonour, fraud and other crimes along with 50 targeted offenders. Police also arrested 32 criminals for violating kite flying, one-wheeling and tenant registration acts.
