RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) on Sunday directed the Potohar SP to investigate harassment charges filed against a sub-inspector. The CPO issued the directives after, GK*, filed a complaint that she had gone to the Naseerabad police station to complain about some people who made a bogus call on the police emergency helpline, 15. However, she alleged that instead of filing her complaint, SI WI* started harassing her indirectly. GK alleged that the officer asked her to stay at a hotel in Murree and have lunch [with him] if she wanted to have a First information report (FIR) registered. When she turned down the advances, the police officer threatened to file a fake case against the complainant. A Rawalpindi police spokesperson said that the matter was brought to the notice of the CPO who has ordered the Potohar SP to probe the complaint.
