Ulema urged to maintain peace

ICTA urges sectarian harmony

ISLAMABAD:

A meeting of religious scholars of all schools of thought and the Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) decided to sectarian harmony during the mourning month of Muharram.

Islamabad Chief Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmad held a meeting with local religious leaders of different sects in order to promote inter-sect harmony during the month of Muharram. The meeting was attended by the organisers of majalis and licensees of mourning processions.

The religious scholars assured the chief commissioner that they would extend cooperation to the District Administration in making immaculate security arrangements.
