Tainted liquor kills youth

Investigation underway

LAHORE:

A youth reportedly died in the city after consuming tainted liquor in North Cantonment area on Saturday.

The victim was identified as Sunny Maseeh, 21, a resident of Nishat Colony, Maryamabad area. He had reportedly consumed liquor after which his condition deteriorated. He was shifted to a hospital but could not survive.

The family of the victim alleged that he had received the liquor from Rashid alias Viki Masih, a resident of Firdous Market. The body was shifted to a morgue for autopsy. Further investigation into the matter was underway.
