We are the problem
KARACHI:
Full marks to George Fulton for his brilliant portrayal of Pakistan's ruling elite in his article titled “We are the problem” (June 16). He has very aptly described the apathy of the liberal elite. Aside from tweeting political and apolitical clichés, going to numerous fashion shows, joining a dictator's Facebook group and considering him nothing less than Pakistan’s messiah, they cannot be bothered about coming out of the confines of their cocoons and doing something substantial for the country. What's worse is that instead of making any tangible contribution to get us out of this sordid state of affairs, they compound our miseries by carping and complaining all the time.
