Punjab approves Rs6.3b for Ring Road land

Govt aims to acquire land measuring 110 feet wide to build the 51-kilometre

The Punjab Finance Department has approved Rs6.3 billion for purchasing land to build the right-of-way for the Ring Road Project in Rawalpindi.

The government aims to acquire land measuring 110 feet wide to build the 51-kilometre (km) long double-lane route starting from Rawat.

The land acquisition process will start once the funds are transferred to the collector.

The Punjab Private Public Partnership Authority (PPPA) has already approved the PC-I of the project.
