Pindi to get another shelter home

The Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has announced to build another shelter home for the destitute in the garrison city.

CM Buzdar visited the Raja Bazaar shelter home along with other provincial ministers to review the arrangements for housing the homeless people in need for food, clothing and bedding.

The chief minister inspected the functioning of the shelter home and inquired the dwellers about the arrangements. He also inspected the food quality being provided to the people taking shelter there. The inmates of the shelter home expressed satisfaction over the services they were getting at the facility..

The shelter home management informed the chief minister that on average, 50 people stay there daily. They added that it has been used for accommodation by over 64,000 people so far since its establishment.

While talking to Buzdar, a resident said that he had come to Rawalpindi from Peshawar. Earlier, he had to sleep on the footpaths but now, he has the facility of the shelter home where he received a home-like atmosphere. He hailed the management on significantly good arrangements of food and accommodation. CM directed the management to further improve the quality of food and other facilities and announced to build another shelter home in the garrison city.
