Punjab govt recovered Rs2.93b in loans

Rs6.88 billion loans were given to farmers during the last two years

Punjab Minister for Cooperatives Mehr Mohammad Aslam Bharwana said that his department made a recovery of Rs2.926 billion, out of a total of Rs6.88 billion loans given to farmers during the last two years.

Speaking to civil society representatives at his office on Wednesday, he stated that the entire focus of the incumbent government was to provide employment and financial assistance to the poor people of the province. Officers of the department were also present on the occasion.

The provincial minister added that saplings were also being planted in collaboration with the society management to improve the environment of cooperative housing societies.
