The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has announced on Tuesday to restore transplantation activities soon, after they remained suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic for months. Elaborating on the resumption of transplantation activities, an SIUT spokesperson said they believed the time had come to provide urgent relief to 90 patients who were on the waiting list for transplantation. Meanwhile, Sindh chief technical officer and coordinator for Covid-19 Dr Sikander Ali Memon pointed out that the number of active Covid-19 cases had come down in the province, while the rate of single-day Covid-19 diagnosis and mortality rate had also declined sharply.
