An anti-terrorism court directed on Monday the administration of the Mitha Ram Hostel, run by the Rangers, to provide basic facilities to imprisoned Lyari gang leader Uzair Baloch. Baloch’s counsel filed a plea in court, stating that Mitha Ram Hostel had been given a sub-jail when the gangster was shifted there from Karachi Central Jail. He claimed that basic facilities in line with the jail manual, such as nail-cutters and razors for shaving, were not being provided to Baloch at the sub-jail. In response, the court directed the Central Jail superintendent to provide him the necessary facilities.
