Outlaw killed in police encounter

The police team reached the spot and directed the outlaws to surrender

An outlaw was killed in a police encounter while his accomplices managed to escape from the crime scene in the area of Civil Lines police station on Monday. Police officials said that a Civil Lines police team received information that a group of outlaws looted citizens at Daewoo Road near Bawa Chak Saim Nehar. The police team reached the spot and directed the outlaws to surrender. However, the accused opened indiscriminate firing at the police. The police team responded by returning fire. During this encounter, a 30-year-old suspect sustained critical bullet injuries and fell down on the ground.
