Senate body defers two bills

The committee approved the recommendations of the sub-committee

ISLAMABAD:

The 24th meeting of the Standing Committee on Interior was held Friday under the Chairmanship of Raja Khurram Shahzad Nawaz, MNA, in Islamabad. The committee offered Fatiha over the sad demise of MNA Syed Iftikharul Hassan. The Committee considered the Bill titled “the Islamabad Capital Territory Waqf Properties Bill, 2020”, after discussion the committee decided to defer the bill until its next meeting. The Islamabad Capital Territory Trust Bill, 2020 was also deferred until the next meeting. The committee, however, approved the recommendations of the sub-committee of the Standing Committee on Interior on the issues of nurseries and kiosks in the city.
