Distillery raided, liquor recovered

Further investigations are underway

ISLAMABAD:

The Khanna police in the federal capital on Tuesday claimed to have raided a clandestine distillery in the city and recovered a large quantity of liquor. A police spokesperson said that acting on a tip-off, SP-Rural Malik Naeem Iqbal constituted a police team to raid a suspected distillery in the area. This team, under the supervision of an ASP and including Khanna police station SHO Mirza Gulfaraz, ASI Naseer, constables Nazam, Abid, Basit along with others raided the site. They recovered a large quantity of liquor, alcohol and other materials. Police also nabbed Rauaid Gul, a resident of Sector G-7/2 during the raid. Gul has been booked for running an illegal distillery while further investigations are underway.
