PCG arrest five women for smuggling drugs worth Rs61 million

50,000 litres of Iranian diesel also recovered

BALOCHISTAN:

Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) on Tuesday arrested five women from the Naka Khari check-post near the Vander area of Balochistan for smuggling drugs.

Four women, travelling in a passenger coach from Quetta to Karachi were arrested. Meanwhile, a female passenger from another coach was arrested for smuggling 12 kilograms of hashish. The value of the seized drugs in the global market is about Rs61.8 million.

During the patrol, 50,000 litres of Iranian diesel was also recovered from various areas near the city.

The PCG spokesperson said coast guard personnel will continue to play their role in stablising the country's economy and are committed to prevent all kinds of smuggling.
