A fire broke out in a string manufacturing factory in Shah Faisal Colony on Monday morning.
The fire department arrived at the spot immediately with six fire tenders and doused the blaze after a three-hour long struggle. According to fire department officials, foam was also used to extinguish the flames erupting from drums containing chemicals.
Meanwhile, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board provided water tankers from Safoora Hydrant. Fire department officials stated that goods worth large amounts of money were gutted in the incident, while no casualties were reported. They added that the building’s structure had also been damaged due to the magnitude of the fire, while the estimated loss would be determined after the completion of the cooling process.
