ABBOTTABAD:
The Abbottabad District Administration and the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) on Saturday launched a joint operation to evacuate hundreds of tourists who were visiting various picnic spots in the region. The joint operation was conducted following the ban on tourism and public gatherings in Galiyat due to novel coronavirus (Covid-19). The team also issued warned hotels and restaurants in the area which were serving these visitors.
The operational team, headed by Abbottabad Assistant Commissioner Dr Mujtaba Bharwana, along with police and GDA officials evacuated tourists from Nathiagali, Ayubia, Dongagali and Harno.
