Police have arrested a man who shot dead his father in Hujra Shah Muqeem town.
Police arrested the accused with a weapon.
Muhammad Sakhi, a resident of Hujra Shah Muqeem, got married to Shamim Bibi about 35 years ago. The couple had five children but two of them died. Sakhi worked as a labourer to support his family.
He had an exchange of harsh words with his young son Ramzan, which intensified. When Sakhi's brother Muhammad Shafi came to know about the situation, he came to his house to resolve the matter between the father and son. Meanwhile, the accused Ramzan got angry and shot dead his father Sakhi. The accused escaped from the scene, but was later arrested by the police.
The police took the body into custody and shifted it to a hospital for postmortem. On the complaint of Shafi, police have registered a case against Shamim Bibi, the wife of the deceased, and Ramzan for the murder. The police handed over the body to the family of the deceased after postmortem.
He was buried in a local graveyard.
