Asim Azhar reveals why Hania Amir received special mention in 'Soneya'

'The world's been very eager to know' he said

Popular singer Asim Azhar released his heartbreak anthem Soneya two days go and it garnered quite the compliments as opposed to his earlier co-creation, Tum Tum.

Azhar's track relayed a tenacious narration, quite resonant of the recent speculations that errupted after Hania Amir confessed that she and him were just best friends. Many users even started mocking Azhar for being 'friend-zoned' while others felt 'sorry' for him. Following this, Amir spoke up in his defense and told and trolls to take it easy.

To further reassure that they are still tiighter than ever, Amir said that Asim is a beautiful part of her life. And when when Soneya released, she also complimented the track.

However, what people started pointing out later to further their narrative was the fact that Azhar, made a special mention thanking Amir at the end of his heartwrenching track. The mentiones saw, "Umer Mukhtar, Hania Aamir & Sajid Maklai"

Nevertheless, to clear the air, while responding to Amir's praise for his song, Azhar said, "The world's been very eager to know why I’ve put you in special thanks. Haha. Still remember the first time you heard it. and all the changes you’d make me do! Aaaah. So happy you like it."

Amir, on the other hand, had tweeted saying, "Dil ko tou lagta hai (Touches my heart). Saal pehle bhi, aj bhi (A year ago and today). Kya gana hai! Mazedaar kaam Asim Ali (What a song, brilliant work Asim Ali)."
