The Rangers claimed on Thursday to have arrested three Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) workers, as well as seven other suspects, in separate operations across the city. According to a Rangers spokesperson, three MQM-L workers were arrested in a raid conducted on the basis of a tip-off at Sharae Faisal. He claimed the arrested suspects were involved in extortion and collecting money from citizens at gunpoint. Separately, the spokesperson stated that the Rangers had also arrested seven suspects in a series of raids in Korangi, New Karachi Industrial Area, Baldia Town and Ferozabad. The arrested men were allegedly involved in robberies and street crime, while arms, ammunition, stolen goods and drugs were reportedly seized from their possession.
