7 SEPs will be piloted in the Newly Merged Tribal Districts

PESHAWAR:

The provincial government is working on multi-sector uplift programmes for expediting development in the seven merged districts of the province. Dubbed as special emphasis programmes (SEPs) for the financial year 2020-21, a total of seven SEPs will be piloted in the Newly Merged Tribal Districts (NMTDs).

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Planning and Development Department is formulating programmes designs in collaboration with the relevant departments. This was stated by K-P Additional Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan as he addressed the technical assistance team of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Merged Areas Governance Project.
