Under the 10 Billion Tsunami Tree project, the authorities in Alipur tehsil plan to plant more than 700,000 saplings.

PTI legislator Amir Talal Gopang launched the campaign in a ceremony under the auspices of the forest department.

Speaking on the occasion, he said all citizens should take part in the campaign for the future generations. He said it was a dire need of the hour to plant a sapling to avert global environmental changes.

A large number of citizens attended the ceremony. Gopang said, “The world is facing global environmental changes and under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, we can tackle these changes by planting a good number of saplings.”

As many as 10 billion saplings will be planted in Punjab under the project, the MNA said.
