KARACHI:

Three members of a family were killed when a dumper truck slammed into their motorcycle on Shaheed-e-Millat Road on Sunday morning. The deceased were identified as 20-year-old Abdul Ghafoor, his grandfather 78-year-old Abdul Shakoor and his grandmother, Noor Saba. The three people had been out for errands when the speeding truck rammed into their motorcycle, dragging it for some distance. All three died on the spot, while the truck driver fled the scene with his vehicle. Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. Ghafoor’s father, Abdul Salam, arrived at JPMC after being contacted by the police, and identified his deceased mother. The police handed the bodies over to the family.
