PSP lambasts raised medicine costs

With unemployment, high inflation and starvation plaguing the people, the hiking of medicine prices is a cruel act by the government, claimed Pak Sarzameen Party chairperson Syed Mustafa Kamal on Saturday. Terming the decision hostile towards the poor, Kamal stated, "There is not a single government official representing the poor and middle class. As a result, the elites in government are making decisions while ignoring a large section of society." He further stated that the prices of medicines were doubled just a few months back and that the decision to raise them once more was unwelcome as the country struggled amid the coronavirus crisis.
