Following the issuance of show-cause notices to 27 nurses at the Lyari General Hospital by the Sindh Health Department on July 8, the nurses have submitted their written replies to the health department. The nurses maintained in their reply that they were serious about their duties, but the assistant medical superintendent (AMS) of the hospital was creating hurdles for them. As a result, they requested legal action against him. The health facility’s nurses added that they had been accused of other baseless charges as well, including continuous absence from duty. Moreover, they said, written complaints had also been lodged against the AMS, while they had not been provided a copy of the show-cause notice and only found out about it via social media.
