CM vows to complete development schemes

Says elected representatives being consulted for projects

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that elected representatives have been consulted for development projects and early completion of the ongoing schemes is the priority of the government.

Members of National Assembly (MNA) Raja Riaz Ahmed and Malik Ahsanullah Tiwana met Chief Minister Buzdar on Tuesday.

The MNAs discussed various issues related to civic facilities and development in their areas. The CM assured them of early solution to problems related to their constituencies and reiterated that the MNAs as well as MPAs were his colleagues. “Elected representatives have been consulted for development projects and early completion of ongoing schemes is the priority of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led government.” He claimed that the PTI-led government was rectifying the misdeeds of the previous rulers as the country had deviated from its real destination due to their wrong policies. “Negligence was shown by previous governments that wasted national resources on ostentatious projects.”

The chief minister added that the PTI-led government was focused on solving public problems. “Across the board development is an important aim of the government. The country and its resources belong to the common man.”

Meanwhile, the chief minister inspected the Nishtar Hospital-II project in Multan being constructed at a cost of Rs9 billion. Most of the initial construction work has been completed and related work is in progress speedily. The 500-bed hospital will be built in the first phase and as many beds will be added in the next stage along with medical staff's residences. The medical university and nursing college will be constructed in the third phase. The CM issued directives to expedite the work, adding that the new facility would provide the best medical treatment. “It was the right of the people of southern Punjab of which they were previously deprived,” the CM asserted.
